Otago Childcare Centre - Playground Re-Development

We love looking back at some recent projects that have come to fruition, reminding us of the great passion in our community.
Our hearts go out to the wonderful team at the Otago Childcare Centre, who in early March 2020 got to officially open their brand new playground only for it to become, like all playgrounds across Otago, a little lonely during our Level 4 lockdown.
Years of dreaming and planning are behind this special playground, which is equipped with its very own "living wall" and a number of new features including a new climbing area, tunnel and slide.
"It was very exciting to see it come together," centre board of trustees chairwoman Bronwyn Powell said.
She was also delighted to see pupils exploring the new facilities on opening day, the former playground having been closed earlier this year while the redevelopment took place.
We know that once life returns to normal, Otago Childcare Centre tamariki are going to love being back amongst it.
Otago Community Trust was pleased to contribute a $35,000 grant towards this $140,000 playground re-development.
