Community Response Grants

Community Response Grants support grassroots initiatives in the community.
Our Community Response Grants are categorised into two funding programmes:

This funding is for organisations requesting $10,000 or less. Grants are awarded for a wide range of cultural, social, sporting, environmental and / or community projects around Otago.

Key information to consider before applying:

  • Funding will be prioritised for organisations / community groups which are working in areas that align with the Trust’s funding pillars and criteria. Review our funding pillars and criteria under the What We Fund section.
  • The timeframe from submitting an application and receiving a funding decision will be 6 to 8 weeks, that is once we have received a complete application and all the required information.
  • You can only receive one grant* in our financial year (1 April to 31 March).
  • You can contact our Team to discuss your application.

* Our Community Response Grants under $10k include our annual funding rounds for Capability Funding. Capability Funding recipients may apply twice in our financial year.
