New Trustee Joins Otago Community Trust Board as Chair Reappointed

Otago Community Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Toni Talijancich to the Trust Board, commencing her role on the 30th January 2026. The Trust also welcomes the reappointment of Andy Kilsby for a second 4-year term.
The appointments were made by the Minister of Finance under the Community Trusts Act 1999. Trustees are selected for their professional or community-based experience and must live within the Trust's region.
Chair Andy Kilsby welcomed Toni Talijancich to the board. "We are delighted to have Toni joining the Otago Community Trust. Her extensive experience in strategic leadership and her commitment to the region will be a valuable asset to the Trust."
"Toni brings a wealth of knowledge and we look forward to her contribution to the Trust's work in supporting Otago's many communities." Andy said.
Andy was also reappointed to the board for a second term, continuing his role as chair. "I am honoured to continue serving the Otago region in this capacity. The work of the Trust is vital to supporting the wellbeing of our communities, and I look forward to working with Toni and my fellow trustees to build on the positive impact we've achieved."
Toni said she was honoured to join the Otago Community Trust Board. "OCT plays a vital role in strengthening communities across the region, and I’m excited to contribute my experience to support the organisation’s kaupapa and long-term impact.”
Toni is an experienced business leader with over 15 years' experience across the education and not-for-profit sectors. She brings deep expertise in strategic planning, policy, business development, marketing, and change management, with a strong track record of leading complex initiatives that deliver sustainable organisational and financial growth.
Otago Community Trust Chief Executive Jemma Adams also welcomed the appointments. "We are pleased to have Toni appointed to the Trust and look forward to the blend of skills and expertise she will bring to the board table. We are equally pleased to have Andy continuing as chair for a second term, providing valuable continuity and leadership as we continue our work across the region."
Trustees are responsible for managing funds of more than $318 million and distributing income for the benefit of Otago communities. They meet monthly to consider grant requests and governance and strategic matters.
