Make Your Mark: Join The Rangatahi-Led Fund Rōpū: A Youth-Led Funding Team
Are you ready to shape the future of your community? The Otago Community Trust is seeking passionate young leaders aged 16-24 to join our Rangatahi-Led Fund Rōpū for 2026. This is your chance to make real decisions about real funding that impacts young people across our region.
What is the Rangatahi-Led Fund?
This for youth, by youth fund puts decision-making power directly in the hands of young people. With up to $5,000 available for each youth-led project, you'll get to decide how to distribute real funding to youth-led projects across Otago.
Your Role as a Decision-Maker
As part of the rōpū, you will:
Design the fund's criteria and application process
Connect with your community to spread the word about funding opportunities
Review applications and decide which projects receive funding
Attend 5 hui between February and July 2026
Collaborate and engage with diverse perspectives and work alongside other passionate young leaders
The Expressions of Interest will be open until 16th November 2025. We will be in touch after this date to let you know your outcome and outline the next steps in the recruitment process.

We will hold five hui between February and July 2026.
The hui will be once a month on Monday evenings from 5pm – 7pm, either in person or online depending on the needs of the rōpū. You will be expected to attend all five hui and help advertise the Rangatahi Led Fund to the community. In return, you will receive a koha for each hui you attend.
