Funding Stories

There’s plenty of activities on offer for the youth of Alexandra.

The Otago Community Trust donated $3000 to the Alexandra and Districts Youth Trust for its Youth Programmes & Events last year.

Youth worker Sharon Waples said it’s helped to fund different youth programmes scheduled every weekday, as well as a Friday evening drop-in, events like quizzes and outdoor movie nights, camps, school holiday programmes, programmes in schools, and mentoring work. The group also enter a float in the annual Blossom Festival. “There’s a lot on offer to have fun in a safe environment.”
