Underpinning indoor sport in Dunedin
The Otago Community Trust was proud to have helped establish the Centre, and has now assisted to fund artificial grass turf to replace the very worn floor covering across all 14 courts– something Centre Manager Blair Crawford said is much needed.
“The Edgar Centre is a very well used facility every day of the week - there’s hardly a sport in Dunedin that hasn’t used the indoor centre for games or training. It’s proved a real asset to the community, and we’re fortunate to enjoy the on-going backing of the Community Trust.”
An underlay is going on the 9000 square metre concrete floor under the turf flooring this time around, which Mr Crawford is sure will be welcomed by all users.
