Otago Community Trust March Donations total $56,000

The Otago Community Trust at its March meeting approved donations totalling $56,250 to 13 organisations throughout Otago. The following are the recipients.

Wharekai Re-development - Te Runanga o Moeraki

The Otago Community Trust was pleased to provide a $50,000 donation to Te Runanga o Moeraki in November of last year. Kaihautu Mary-Anne Tipa sent these wonderful photos in recently of the finished facilities.

$125,000 for First Church Spire Restoration

The First Church has received a funding boost of $125,000 from the Otago Community Trust. The donation will assist with the major restoration project currently being undertaken on the church spire. First Church announced last week that it would start a public appeal to fund the $600,000 refurbishment of the towering 56.4m spire after much more restoration work was found to be required due to the Church’s Category 1 Heritage New Zealand classification.
