Fun new playground for Waiwera South School
The new Waiwera South playground is lots of fun, and its pupils are very grateful to the people that helped pay for it.
The small South Otago School has an exciting and colourful new play structure for its junior pupils with a balance of easy and challenging sections. It opened at the start of term two, and teacher Sarah Reid said it’s been well used over the cooler months.
“’It’s fun and challenging and we’re enjoying the increased opportunity it provides our pupils to enjoy the outdoors,” she said.
But the last word goes to some of the 46 pupils themselves. They say the new playground “is really good, and lots of fun, especially the flying fox and the fireman’s pole. Thank you to the Otago Community Trust for giving our school some money to build it.”
