The Trusts Act 2019: Implications for trustees of charitable trusts and Not For Profits

The Otago Southland Branch of the Institute of Directors are running an informative presentation on the 30th of November of the new Trusts Act changes.
 
Professor Jessica Palmer and Stephanie Pettigrew explain the implications of the Trusts Act 2019 which comes in to effect on 31 January 2021. This session is designed for trustees of charitable trusts and not-for-profits.
 
The Trusts Act 2019 will replace the Trustee Act 1956 and applies to all existing and future trusts in New Zealand.  Jessica and Stephanie will outline compliance requirements, trustee obligations and issues for trustees to be aware of to prepare for the changes.
