Otago Community Trust understands that there has been a significant increase in demand across the region for food parcels and emergency support during this COVID-19 lockdown. Whilst there are many organisations assisting, some are better resourced than others.
The Otago Community Trust has established a new Fund for organisations directly supporting Otago residents experiencing hardship as a result of the Covid lockdown, for example assistance with food parcels and basic home essentials.
The dedicated $250,000 COVID-19 Hardship Fund is to assist community groups support those in need.
Initial grants of up to $5,000 can be applied for with subsequent grants available up to same level.
