Changes to Warm Up New Zealand: Healthy Homes

Announcements

Have you heard the great news Otago?

The Central Government announced in late June that it will open up their Warm Up New Zealand insulation subsidy programme to low-income, owner-occupied homes due to lack of uptake of the tenanted property offer. If you are a home owner with a Community Services Card, and your house was built before 2000, you are eligible for a 50% subsidy on the cost of insulating the ceiling and underfloor of your home. If you have arespiratory condition but don't have a Community Services Card, you may still also be eligible for this programme (income limits apply).

The funding that we have made available for Otago has meant qualifying households do not have to find all of the other 50%. Subsidies are available on a first-come, first-served basis. So don't delay in finding out more information on the programme if you think you may be eligible and learn more about what subsidies you may be eligible for. In the first instance, we would encourage you to contact one of our key partners to find out more about the programme.
